Pay It Forward :)

Just before this past Christmas a fellow Tim Horton's-lover paid for my ice cap addiction in the drive thru :)
I was in disbelief when the cashier said my order was paid for by the car in front of me. Really?? People do that? I later found out that, yes, people frequently 'pay it forward' around the Holidays.
Well, in my state of 'shock' - I drove away sipping my ice cap with a smile...but later realized I forgot to 'pay it forward' to the car behind me.

It was on my list of to-do's...seriously it was.
But I kept forgetting.

Finally a couple of weeks ago I remembered...and had the wonderful opportunity to tell the Tim Horton's cashier that I would like to pay for the next car's order.

What a fabulous feeling that was!
It was merely a hot chocolate that I paid for...but my hope was that the lady behind me enjoyed her order with an extra big smile that day :)

With Spring finally here and everyone in a fabulous mood - do yourself a favour and 'pay it forward'.
Whether it be through coffee (who wouldn't love that!) or doing something thoughtful for someone...anyone - your thoughtfulness will not go unnoticed.
And if you can put a smile on someone's face (even if you're not there to see it), it'll be totally worth it to 'Pay it Forward!' :)

Tristan's 6th Fundraiser: Another HUGE success!!

Yesterday was Tristan's 6th Fundraiser for CHEO!!
Dennis and I would like to sincerely thank everyone who attended and supported our event!

With your help we were able to raise $1795 for CHEO!!

In addition, we were able to sell a number of the 'Tristan James Legacy' shopping bags to continue to support CHEO!

Tomorrow...

Tomorrow is Tristan's 6th Fundraiser for the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO).

We are keeping our fingers crossed for a wonderful turnout!
The more people who attend, the more people there will be who know about Tristan and learn his story.

These events are really important to us - not only to raise funds for a great cause in Memory of our Angel, but also to raise awareness for the terrible disease of CHD.

According to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada:
** Congenital Heart Defects: 'About 1 of every 100 babies born has some form of heart defect, representing 1% of births. These heart defects range from a tiny hole that will never require treatment, to a life-threatening heart defect in which blood carrying oxygen and nutrients is pumped throughout the body.'

Please help us to support CHEO and CHD!
Even if you cannot attend the event, please spread awareness!

** Tristan`s Mommy **

Tristan's Birthday!

Today would be Tristan's 3rd Birthday.

It is hard - no - impossible to actually put into words how I am feeling today.
Happy, angry, sad, depressed...just to name a few.

I am so deeply happy and proud to be the Mommy of such a special boy, and I wouldn't change that in a million years. I just wish he was here. With us. Where he is supposed to be.

We will be releasing more balloons for Tristan tonight...and lighting a candle for him to see.
